Darkheart let out a low laugh and batted at the apprentice with a sheathed paw, snarling but not hostly. He watched with carefully guarded eyes as she ran over to the trembling apprentices and began making a fuss over him. "Ah." He growled. "You were in the river too, weren't you?" He let out a cold mrow of amusement, but his eyes remained hard and emotionless.

Wavepaw glared at him, he had the impression that the RiverClan warrior was trying very hard to hold back his anger.

Darkheart shook his fur, spraying cold water on the two apprentices. "Oh, I see." He mused, sheathing his claws. "How romantic, a swim in the river..." He pulled back his lips in the beginning of a snarl, but only let out another cold attempt at a laugh. Then, dipping his head he meowed "Good day, don't let me catch you again.", and plunged back into the river.

Wavepaw cast an awkward glance over to Creekpaw, his fur suddenly feeling very warm. He shifted his paws and silently cursed the RiverClan tom for that comment, glaring at him as he swam back across to RiverClan.

"Yeah, well! I'm medicine cat apprentice! I can go where I want!" She yelled after the RiverClan warrior. She looked at Wavepaw and gave an embarresed smile as she took a step away from him. "Serves that rotten piece of foxdung right."

Wavepaw nodded, glaring after him. "Someday I'll get a good chance to claw him in battle, and I'll take it!" he vowed darkly, flinging a few droplets of water off the tip of his tail.

Wavepaw blinked. "Sure, the clan could use some fresh kill." he decided, and took of at a steady pace into the forest.

Ravenstar stepped out of her den and stretched, squinting in the sunlight. She stood up, her thick, lusturous black coat rippling. Tansypelt was arranging her herbs, and Riverpaw was sitting outside the apprentice den in the sun, enjoying the gentle rays of the Newleaf sun. Ravenstar yawned, it was tempting to do the same, but she needed to be ready to take Wavepaw out fr battle training. Sighing, she left toward the fresh-kill pile to eat a meal to pass the time.

Ravenstar stood, having finished er meal. Where IS Wavepaw? I'd best go look for him.. She sighed. Wherever e was, she'd find him.
